Sharing The late Teacher Evangelista's answers to questions regarding 'prayers.'
Dear Brothers and Sisters in God’s Name,
May I share with you how Teacher Evangelista, when he was still alive, gave answers to the two (2) of the most commonly asked questions to those who visit him after they read his Bible revelations in our website www.thename.ph
1. “NOW THAT WE KNOW THE TRUE NAME OF GOD, DO WE STILL NEED TO WORSHIP GOD IN A CHURCH?”
To answer the question, Teacher Evangelista shared the following Bible revelation:
Let us read what God said before in:
This is what the LORD says: "Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool.
Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be?
Isaiah 66:1 NIV
There will be no more Churches because people do not need to go to a house to truly worship God. What man needs to do is to call on the true Name of God.
(The truth is that the answer to this question was already discussed in our website article "MAY THE WHOLE WORLD UNITE UNDER THE TRUE NAME OF GOD" and thus proves that by only reading all the articles in the said website, the reader is sure to have an answer to his/her question in the Bible about God)
To prove that we need to only call on the Name of God, let us read Zechariah 13:9:
….This third I will put into the fire; I will refine them like silver
and test them like gold. They will call on my name
and I will answer them; I will say, ‘They are my people,’
and they will say, ‘The Lord is our God. ’”
Zechariah 13:9 (NIV)
Once we call on the real Name of God, we will be considered by God as His people, His New Israel!
We can read God said that He will consider those who call upon His Name as His people.
If we use our understanding upon what God said in Zechariah 13:9, we can comprehend that knowledge and reverence of God’s true Name is enough to be considered as one of God’s people. God never said that we need to belong to a Church in order to be one of His people.
2. HOW DO WE PRAY NOW THAT WE KNOW GOD’S TRUE NAME?
When he was still alive, Teacher Evangelista said that when we call or pray on God’s Name, we do not need to lengthen our words just like preachers do and that prayers are our of communicating directly with God. We do not need to memorize prayers.
To prove that, Teacher Evangelista read to us the following set of Bible verses:
Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong.
Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart
to utter anything before God. God is in heaven
and you are on earth, so let your words be few.
Ecclesiastes 5:1-2 (NIV)
"Guard your steps when you go to the house of God."—the one who wrote these words was King Solomon. The “House’ he was referring to was the temple he built for the Name of God during his time.
In the articles in the website thename.ph and in this website, we already shared the late Teacher Evangelista's Bible exposition on how the very reason that God made King Solomon build a House for God's Name was because the Jews never knew God’s Name. God erased it from their minds as punishment for their idolatry. This punishment occurred during their stay in Egypt even before the time of the Exodus (Jeremiah 44:24-26, Ezekiel 20:8-9)
"Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong." – “Listen’ means in our time, God had already given the true explanation of His written word in the mouth of His prophet sent forth like Moses , Teacher Evangelista and it is now available to us 24/7 for free in the previously mentioned websites. We only need to read and absorb all the messages in the said website/s.
“than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong.”- Teacher Evangelista always said that the true God is an Almighty God and therefore has no need of any offerings.
To give thanks to Him (calling upon His Name) directly is enough.
Teacher Evangelista even said before: “The reason why it was written “sacrifice of fools’ was because the people believed that by making financial offerings and donations to the Churches they belong to they can make atonement for their sins. This false teaching by the religions encouraged evil and corruption to flourish.
Teacher Evangelista even said “God wants us to understand that it is man’s foolishness of giving financial offerings why the organized religions that deceived them became so rich and powerful.”
And in Isaiah 66:3 we can read:
"But whoever sacrifices a bull is like one who kills a man, and whoever offers a lamb, like one who breaks a dog's neck; whoever makes a grain offering is like one who presents pig's blood, and whoever burns memorial incense, like one who worships an idol. They have chosen their own ways, and their souls delight in their abominations;"
Isaiah 66:3 NIV
“But whoever sacrifices a bull is like one who kills a man, and whoever offers a lamb, like one who breaks a dog's neck;”-A bull or cow’s meat is the common type of meat that humans eat. Since God pertains that the killing of such an animal is akin to killing a fellow man, how much more is killing other animals for food?
“whoever makes a grain offering is like one who presents pig's blood”- This proves what Teacher Evangelista said that to give any form of material or financial offering to God is an abomination in His sight.
Going back to Ecclesiastes 5:1-2
… Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart
to utter anything before God. God is in heaven
and you are on earth, so let your words be few.
Ecclesiastes 5:1-2 NIV
“God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few.”- Because you are praying to the true God. You do not need to flatter Him.
To shed more light about this matter, let us read in Isaiah 65:24
“Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.”
Isaiah 65:24 (NIV)
Teacher Evangelista said before that we do not need to say a long prayer to God about what we need, because the true God already knows it even before we pray to Him.
However Teacher Evangelista also clarified that this promise of God only apply to those who call upon His Name (Zech.13:9) and this privilege will only be enjoyed by all of humanity once they all unite in worshiping His Name. (Zech.14:9)
When asked about what part of the day should a person pray to God, teacher Evangelista read the following verses:
It is good to praise the Lord
and make music to your name, O Most High,
proclaiming your love in the morning
and your faithfulness at night,
Psalm 92:1-2 NIV
"It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High,"-- We can understand the importance of calling upon God's true name.
Teacher Evangelista explains that we give thanks to our God whenever we wake up in the morning and before we sleep at night.
And when we pray:
"6 Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the Lord our Maker;"
Psalm 95:6 NIV
If we can, it is best we kneel before God when we pray and give thanks to Him, however Teacher Evangelista emphasized that we only do this in private.
When he was asked to give an example on what to say when to pray to God, Teacher Evangelista shared the following:
"Dear Lord God and Father ----- (God's Name), thank you for this day, Guide and grant me the right knowledge in order to make my plans succeed, This all i ask in your Holy Name and as one of your children"
Or if faced with a difficult situation, Teacher Evangelista said that our prayer would be like:
"Dear Lord God and Father---(God's Name) please grant me wisdom and understanding on how i can solve and overcome this difficult situation or problem that i am facing right now. I ask this in your Holy Name and as one of your children"
Teacher Evangelista explained that these are just examples, emphasizing that prayer is our personal communication with the Lord God—there is no standard prayer. We may ask God for guidance and wisdom to overcome our personal challenges, but it is ultimately up to us to take action and resolve them.
Most importantly, Teacher Evangelista showed the following Bible verse that we should always keep in mind whenever we call on God's Holy and True Name:
The LORD is far from the wicked
but he hears the prayer of the righteous.
Proverbs 15:29 (NIV)
God listens to the righteous—those who truly revere His Name and follow His laws. This reminds us to be sincere and purposeful in our intentions when we pray to God.
